Uncle Jr. is a three piece combo specializing in Classic Rock, Blues, R&B and Alternative Music from the 50's to the present.  Your guests will enjoy everything from Elvis Presley to the current music of today.  Each band member has over 15 years performing experience and have appeared at many corporate functions, fairs, and entertainment venues across the country.

 

The Outer Toons are a silly and funny, cartoon band that play all the favorites from TV’s golden age. Space age musical styles fit in with great space age shows such as Star Trek, The Jetsons and The Incredibles.

The Outer Toons feature hilarious audience interaction and special prize give-aways. This dynamic, seven piece, highly skilled group of costumed professionals, boast extensive music and theater backgrounds such as The Boston Symphony Orchestra, Manhattan Transfer, and Off Broadway theater credits. Hear the words “classical music” and what comes to mind?  Somber images of suits and symphony halls, or perhaps your grandparents’ old LPs?  If you think a classical performance is too formal or dull, then you owe it to yourself to check out Nova Era.  Based in Orlando, Nova Era is breathing new life into classical music with a modern approach. Much more than an attempt at Mozart: Plugged-In, Nova Era’s updated arrangements bring out the timeless appeal of classics such as Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Pachelbel’s Canon.

Nova Era’s distinct sound is also evident in original works by producer/composer Andres Roca.  Roca has created a special chemistry with his focus on the oboe, cello, and violin. Nova Era’s rhythm section, featuring drums, electric bass, and keyboard, completes this effect. These dynamic musicians could be equally at home in a rock band or a symphony orchestra, and their passion for Roca’s work is clear. His blend of traditional and contemporary music is nothing short of sensational.

But there is even more to this music phenomenon:  Nova Era performs in handcrafted 18th century costumes, and ornate, powdered wigs.  This beautiful touch lends an authenticity which lifts the music to a higher level.  At first glance, you might think you are attending an 18th century concert -- that is, until you see the electric instruments, taking a giant leap into the 21st century.  This visual combination of old and new perfectly reflects the music of Nova Era

In 1992, Orlando residents Andy Burr (guitar, harmonica, vocals) and Greg Taillon (Cajun squeezebox, fiddle, vocals) formed The Porchdogs in order to perform the kind of music they loved but rarely heard in Central Florida--the rootsy good-time sound of Louisiana Cajun and Zydeco.

There are many configurations to choose from, including a trio, all the way up to a 7 pc band.  How often do your guests get to hear a Fiddle and a Squeezebox?  As a full band (the best way to hear the group), Porchdogs includes one of the hottest rhythm sections in Florida, which also includes a bassist, drummer, Cajun percussionist (rub board and triangle): usually Heather Wingate, Fiddle, Squeezebox, Harmonica, Guitar and fantastic vocals!

The Porchdogs band is well known throughout the state, regularly performing at Orlando's theme parks, at festivals and fairs, at nightclubs, and at numerous corporate and private events. The group is ideal for theme parties, especially Swamp, Gator, Mardi Gras, New Orleans, 'Fish Camp,' Fais do-do, Rural, and Cajun Christmas; great for family reunions, house parties, wedding receptions, barbecues, picnics and casual get-togethers.

 

Florida guitarist Nate Najar blends his classical background with funky, hot groovin' licks born out of his passion for all music. Nate considers himself a product of classical, R&B, Soul, Gospel, Jazz, Latin and many other styles. Says Najar, "I'm trying to use all of my musical experiences to create my sound.” 

Considered one of the most interesting and stylish young guitarists on the jazz scene, Nate Najar has finally arrived as a legitimate Smooth Jazz solo artist. He has performed with traditional jazz artists like, Clark Terry, Ken Peplowski Ray Kennedy, and many others. A personal and professional achievement, Nate has also shared the stage numerous times with the Joe Byrd Trio, to pay tribute to the late Charlie Byrd, who has been one of the biggest influences on Nate's style.

Nate Najar performs regularly with a growing list of Smooth Jazz artists including Eric Darius, Jackiem Joyner, Brian Simpson and Marion Meadows, just to name a few. Musicians love Nate's ability to take the lead as a soloist, and at the same time be a strong accompanist.

In fall 2009, Nate debuted his first Smooth Jazz CD, Until Now. The new CD features a jazzy, yet classical version of the Michael Jackson classic, Human Nature. Until Now has a blend of Smooth Jazz cuts that mix the many styles that have shaped Nate Najar as a solo artist.

Until Now is Nate's fourth solo CD. Other recordings include, Live At the Side Door, Christmas with the Nate Najar Trio and The Nate Najar Trio - I'm All Smiles.
